Central Asian Caspian Sea (CSCA)

Consortium for Providing Advanced Educational Opportunities to CSCA Region Students

Overview

The Caspian Sea and Central Asian (CSCA) Region Consortium is an international educational group, established in 2004 with the mission, as detailed below, to develop educational, research, and training opportunities for CSCA region students in the area of petroleum engineering and hydrocarbon recovery. Founding members of the consortium are the Middle East Technical University Faculty of Engineering (METU) and Stanford University School of Earth Science (SU). Research conducted by students at the advanced degree level at METU and SU is expected to lead to advanced technologies and methodologies for enhancing the production of hydrocarbons from CSCA region oil and gas fields.
